Project

Kapilano Crescent

A loving family home on the edge of bushland, owners Anthony and Julie worked with the team at Outdoor Oasis to create an outdoor haven that suited the land and their family’s needs.

Starting the project by assessing the land and working out solutions to make the land work for, not against it’s residents, the team began by addressing the ongoing flooding issues caused by a higher neighbouring block and incorrect drainage near the house. This begun with removing the existing structure and installing correct drainage as well as levelling out ground in required areas. Seeking a modernised space with low maintenance, the existing poolside garden was removed and low maintenance foliage and grass was installed. A raised garden bed also assisted with drainage issues from the neighbouring house. With safety at the forefront of every design, a priority for the team was reconfiguring the pool fencing to surround the pool only so that the kids didn’t need to go into the pool to get to the lawn. Sleek tiling and an attractive pergola modernised the space and tied in well with the new external colour of the house.

Specific scope of work included:

  • Design concept: complete backyard transformation

  • Site demolition

  • Drainage solutions

  • Source and install composite decking, pergola, raised garden beds, concrete pool surrounds, tiling of pool surrounds, pool coping and waterline tile, glass fencing, planting and turf

Matt and his team were fantastic to work with! They designed and created a beautiful, modern backyard for our family just in time to host a large Christmas. We are very thankful for the new space and know we will enjoy it for years to come.
