Designing and building a pool and surrounding area for a compact front yard of a new home, we aimed to make the most of the limited space. By strategically positioning the pool to the boundary on two sides and making adjustments to the existing patio, we created a seamless connection between the pool, the living room, and the front door of the home. The surrounding areas were elegantly tiled in beautiful limestone, and subtle steps were added to guide the flow from the pool area down to the front gate.

To enhance the space, we selected a contemporary mix of plants designed to mature into a layered garden of blues and greens, adding texture and vibrancy. Screening trees were planted just outside the pool area, providing privacy while blending the space harmoniously with the home’s modern aesthetic.

Specific scope of work included:

Design and Space Optimisation:

• Designed a pool and surrounding area for a small front yard, maximising space by building the pool to the boundary on two sides of the property.

• Modified the existing patio to integrate the pool area with the home’s layout.

Surfacing:

• Tiled surrounding areas with beautiful limestone to create a cohesive and elegant look.

• Connected the pool to the living room and front door, and added subtle steps leading down to the front gate.

Landscaping:

• Incorporated a contemporary selection of plants that will mature into a layered garden with hues of blues and greens.

• Planted screening trees outside the pool area for added privacy and aesthetic appeal.
